Day Trading Quiz

A day trading quiz is a short test of what a trade depends on before you click buy: sizing a position to your stop, working out the reward-to-risk and the win rate it needs, and reading trend, volume and VWAP on an intraday chart. This one has 12 questions, and every answer comes with the reasoning.

Six risk-math questions and six chart reads, with a drawn chart on half of the twelve. About five minutes, and no signup.

FAQ

Day trading quiz questions

How many questions are in this day trading quiz?

12: six on risk math (position size, reward-to-risk, breakeven win rate, drawdown recovery, expectancy and how resistance caps a target) and six on reading a chart (VWAP, chasing, breakouts, bull flags, trend and stop placement). The answer and the reasoning show after each one, and the score shows at the end.

Is this quiz for beginners?

It starts with what VWAP is and how to size a position, so a beginner can take it, and it goes through expectancy and stop placement, which plenty of experienced traders still get wrong. If you are new, expect to miss a few. The explanations are the point.

Are the charts real?

No. They are drawn illustrations of common intraday setups, built so each question has one clear answer. There is no ticker, no date and no live data behind them.

Do I need an account to take the quiz?

No. There is no signup and no email. The quiz runs in your browser, and reloading the page starts it over.

What should you know before day trading?

At minimum: how to size a position so a stopped-out trade costs a fixed amount, the reward-to-risk of a trade and the win rate it needs to break even, where a stop belongs on the chart, and how to read trend, volume and VWAP. The quiz covers each of those, and the calculators linked from it do the math for a real trade.

How is this different from SnapPChart's chart grade?

The quiz tests your reads on drawn charts with known answers. SnapPChart reads your own chart screenshot and grades the setup A+ to F, with an entry, stop and targets on paid plans. One checks what you know; the other checks the trade in front of you.

This quiz is for education only and is not financial advice. The charts are illustrations, and the answers describe common ways traders read these setups, not a guarantee of how any trade will turn out. Trading involves risk of loss.
